Ukraine: prices of nonstandard apples down
Sellers of nonstandard apples have to reduce their prices in Ukraine now. For the present, farmers fix prices of low-quality apples at UAH 2.50-3.50/kg (EUR 0.14-0.19/kg), while a week before growers shipped those apples at no lower than UAH 3.50-4.00/kg (EUR 0.19-0.21/kg).
Nevertheless, the demand for nonstandard apples is weak despite negative price performance. The majority of buyers prefer relatively inexpensive autumn apples offered now at UAH 4/kg (EUR 0.21/kg) and higher.
It should be noted that nonstandard apples of Ukrainian origin also were offered at UAH 2.50/kg (EUR 0.14/kg) and higher in the same period of the previous season.
