Moldova more than sextuples apple exports to Kazakhstan in October
Moldova keeps on expanding its presence in the Kazakh apple market. In particular, Moldova has more than sextupled apple exports to Kazakhstan in October 2014 compared with the same month of the previous year.
According to the official statistics, Kazakhstan purchased 2,400 tons of Moldovan apples against just 410 tons in October 2013.
Moldova's cumulative exports of apples to Kazakhstan in July-October 2014 totaled 5,000 tons, twice as high as in the same period of the previous year. As a result, Moldova was the second largest supplier of apples to Kazakhstan in July-October 2014 against ranking just fifth a year before. Poland traditionally was the leader.
