Poland: prices of imported pears down
Imported pears have become significantly less expensive at Bronisze Wholesale Market, Warsaw, Poland.
Prices reached 0.72-1.19 euro/kg on August 21 against varying between 0.95-1.19 euro/kg last Monday.
Sellers connect negative price trend with an increase in the supply of domestic pears in Poland. For comparison, current prices of domestic Faworytka pears are not higher than 0.95 euro/kg.
The market participants also expect prices to keep on falling in the nearest time due to active harvesting campaign in the country.
