Apple prices in Crimea twice as high as in mainland Ukraine

Crimean farmers now offer apples at prices averagely twice as high as in mainland Ukraine.

Growers in Crimea are ready to ship apples at RUB 40-55/kg (USD 0.58-0.79/kg), depending on variety, fruit size and quality. At the same time, apples are offered in Ukraine at UAH 5-10/kg (USD 0.22-0.44/kg).

It should also be noted that apple prices have grown averagely by 46% in Ukraine compared with the same period of the previous season. At the same time, prices in Crimea have grown more significantly and are averagely twice as high as a year before.
