Crimean sellers forced to reduce cucumber prices

Crimean sellers are forced to reduce their cucumber prices, according to Fruit-Inform.

As a result, cucumbers have become 14% less expensive at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, and now are offered at RUB 30-60/kg (USD 0.48-0.96/kg), depending on quality and variety.

The local market participants connect negative pricing trend with significantly weaker trading activity in the segment due to a rise in prices a week before.

However, it should be noted that cucumber prices are still higher in Crimea year-on-year. We would remind you that a year before they did not exceed RUB 55/kg (USD 0.88/kg).
