Poland: prices of apples for processing more than double year-on-year
Prices of apples for processing have been rapidly growing in Poland and now are 2.2-2.3 times as high as registered in the beginning of August 2016, according to FreshMarket.
Now Polish processors are ready to pay 0.11-0.16 euro/kg for apples against no higher than 0.13 euro/kg a week before.
The market participants connect such a positive trend with lack of supply of raw apples in the Polish market. It should also be noted that prices of apples for processing did not exceed 0.07 euro/kg in Poland in the same period of the previous year.
