Ukrainian growers start their table grape season

Ukrainian growers have started selling their table grapes this week, according to Fruit-Inform. This year there was no delay in the start of the Ukrainian table grape season compared with 2016.

Ukrainian growers expect table grape yields to be slightly higher year-on-year thanks to more favorable weather conditions during fruit setting and ripening. As a result, the supply of grapes has grown year-on-year, and this fact has already affected their prices.

Farmers are now ready to offer their first volumes of table grapes at UAH 10-35/kg (EUR 0.33-1.16/kg), depending on variety and quality. For comparison, last year prices stood at least at UAH 15/kg.
