Cucumber prices up in Poland
Polish growers started raising their cucumber prices, reports Fruit-Inform with reference to FreshMarket.
Now growers are shipping their cucumbers at 0.95-1.30 euro/kg, against at least 0.83 euro/kg at the end of the previous week.
Positive trend in prices is backed by a decrease in the supply of domestic cucumbers, as Polish greenhouses’ harvest volumes significantly fell due to a cold spell.
Nevertheless, current prices are still 35% lower year-over-year, and Polish market experts consider a rise in them temporary.
