Ukrainian farmers won't be able to work on the global agrarian market - Yaroslav Kardash

Ukraine is getting ready to join WTO. The country signed the agreement with European Union which removed the final obstacle on the way to WTO, "Deutche Welle" reminds.

Ukrainian farmers won't be able to work on equal terms on global state market, because their products don't posses the required certification. The farmers also lack information about WTO requirements to agricultural production, Yaroslav Kardash says, the President of the Association of Farmers and Private Land Owners of Ukraine.

He observes that there is no legislative regulation of land market in Ukraine - this fact may severely deteriorate the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products. "There is no realistic information of what we should expect. The state of soil is not controlled, there are almost no labs. Our products are actually not certified according to WTO norms; what should Ukraine do in this case?", Mr. Kardash says.

Farmers Association will claim for the relevant donations provided by the Government; to the opinion of the President of the Association, livestock and diary industry may suffer in Ukraine without state financial support.
