International berry conference to be held in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, for the first time!

For two days in the mid-May 2013, Mykolaiv will become a center of the Ukrainian berry business for the first time. On May 16-17, this city will attract leading berry growers, processors and sellers both from Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, the Netherlands, Italy and other countries throughout the world) to participate in the 4th International Conference “Berries of Ukraine – 2013: Frozen Produce & Fresh Market”. The conference is organized by Fruit-Inform, the only independent fruit and vegetable business analytical project in Ukraine, and Polunica.com.ua. The event is also supported by Association of Wholesale Markets of Ukraine.

“Despite the fact that the majority of international conferences are traditionally held in Kiev, Fruit-Inform tries to make its events as efficient as possible for all participants. We believe that Mykolaiv is well placed to host international events. Furthermore, there are many modern berry farms located in the southern regions of Ukraine”, says Ms. Tetiana Getman, Head of Fruit-Inform. “Berry production is a very promising area in Ukraine, as it enables to have good return on investments under condition of a professional approach to the business”.

We would remind you that the conference will take place on May 16, Aleksandrovsky Business Center, Mykolaiv. The business-tour to Polunica.com.ua Project fields intended for open and protected strawberry cultivation will be held on May 17.

• The global and European markets for fresh and frozen berries;

• Imports' impact on the Ukrainian market and Ukraine's fresh and frozen berry export potential;

• Berry production in different climatic zones of Ukraine;

• Ukraine's everbearing berry production potential;

• Investments in the berry business: the most attractive positions;

• Berry deep freezing in Ukraine: present state and market development prospects;

• Modern berry production, handling, packaging and processing technologies in Ukraine;

• Main sales channels for fresh and frozen berries in Ukraine: retail, wholesale markets, exports.

The conference target audience: berry and cherry growers (above 50%), processing enterprises, wholesale and retail trade representatives, suppliers of inputs, equipment, berry plants, agrichemistry etc.

The organizers expect about 200 delegates from 8-10 countries throughout the world to take part in the conference.
