Ukraine's government imposes duties on food imports

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has finished consultations on stabilization of balance of payments with international financial organizations and approved imposition of additional import duties.

The import duty on goods classified as commodity groups 1-24 in the Ukrainian Classification of Commodities for Foreign Economic Activity will amount to 10% and 5%, and the import duty of 10% will be imposed on the goods classified as commodity groups 25-97, inclusive of foodstuffs.
