Peach prices in Crimea twice as high as in Ukraine

Crimean growers manage to sell apples at prices currently twice as high as those fixed by their Ukrainian colleagues, according to Fruit-Inform.

For the present, peach prices vary between RUB 80-140/kg (USD 1.20-2.17/kg) in the Crimean peninsula.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian growers manage to ship their peaches at no higher than UAH 15-25/kg (USD 0.60-1.00/kg).

It should be noted that the supply of peaches is now moderate both in Crimea and Ukraine. However, the demand significantly prevails over the supply in the Crimean market, while Ukrainian growers say of rather weak trading activity.

On a year-on-year basis, peach prices are stable both in Ukraine and Crimea.
