The books about modern technologies of produce storage and about fruit and berry production - for the conference participants

The Agricultural Marketing Project has been supporting the conduction of the international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine" for the third year already. For the largest event in CIS produce business the Project plans to prepare a unique package of handout materials to be provided for each conference participant.

Taking into account numerous inquiries of the produce business players, the experts of the Agricultural Marketing Project jointly with the industry specialists from Ukraine, Moldova, USA and other countries are finishing now the preparations to print two unique books - manuals. The first manual will be of use for everyone who is planning to construct or reconstruct the storages for temporary cooling and long-time storage of vegetables, fruits and berries. The manual includes the detailed description of the modern energy-saving technologies of produce storage and the practical recommendations to construct new storage and reconstruct old storage premises. It is very important that the practical experience in the conditions of Ukraine was used to write the manual.

The other book is dedicated to the modern technologies of fruit and berry production in various agricultural-climatic zones of Ukraine. The book content is based on three-year experience of demosite activities conducted by the Agricultural Marketing Project in six regions of our country: AR Crimea, Odesa, Zakarpattya, Lviv, Poltava and Cherkasy oblasts. This manual concerns all aspects of fruit and berry production: planting, protection and harvesting.

We'll point out that many aspects of the modern technologies specified in these manuals will be covered in details by the experts and commercial companies in their reports during the conference. The participants of the event have the opportunity to study the technologies on companies' stands in the framework of the international exhibition conducted simultaneously with the conference.
