Poland: cauliflower prices double over weekend
According to Fruit-Inform price monitoring, cauliflower prices have almost doubled in Poland over the past weekend.
For the present, sellers at Bronisze Wholesale Market, Warsaw, are ready to ship cauliflowers at 1.26-1.53 euro/kg, depending on quality and shipment volume. For comparison, prices were not higher than 0.99 euro/kg in the end of the previous week. Such a sharp increase in cauliflower prices was registered due to the end of the domestic season in Poland and stably high demand for cauliflowers in the country.
It should also be noted that current prices are almost three and a half times as high as registered in the same period of the past season, when cauliflowers were shipped at no higher than 0.48 euro/kg.
