Rosselkhoznadzor to check authenticity of Tunisia's certificates to ship fruits, vegetables through Belarus
Russia's Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) will check authenticity of Tunisia's phytosanitary certificates issued for shipping fruits and vegetables to the Russian Federation through Belarus.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the agency's officers are to visit Tunisia on January 19-21 and check authenticity of the certificates issued by the exporting country in view of alleged falsification of those documents, which may be used to deliver banned products of the EU origin to Russia.
As Mr. Sergey Dankvert, Head of Rosselkhoznadzor, has previously said, suspicions were raised after it had been found out that plant products had been delivered from Tunisia to Belarus by trucks.
