Moldova to increase exports of wines, fruits to Belarus
Moldova plans to raise exports of wines and spirits, fruits and vegetables to Belarus, said Mr. Vasile Bumacov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The possibilities of growth in exports to Belarus were discussed during the meeting between Mr. Bumacov and Mr. Leonid Marinich, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, in Berlin.
The meeting was focused on agricultural trade development between the two countries.
It should be noted that Belarus has been the leader in imports of Moldovan wines and spirits in the past few years. Before introduction of the ban on imports of Moldovan fruits and vegetables in Russia, the Republic of Belarus also was the second largest export market for those products.
