Final program of Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine - 2012

The program of the 9th International Conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine – 2012. New Challenge” is 100% complete. The 2-day conference agenda involves 27 speakers from Ukraine, Russia, Belgium, Latvia, Sweden and Chile.

Among recent updates in the program, we may note such key subjects as:

- “Ukrainian fruit importers: are there prospects of further development in this business in view of growing domestic production?”, Mr. Sergey Primachok, Director of Interfrukt-Ukraine;

- “Efficiency of niche vegetable production in Ukraine. Lettuces, mini-vegetables, aubergines, bell peppers. Consumption and development prospects”, Mr. Yuriy Sologub, Marketing and Logistics Director, Rijk Zwaan Ukraine;

- “Organic fruits and vegetables in Ukraine. The market development over past 3 years. Prospects”, Yevgeniy Milovanov, President of Organic Movement Federation of Ukraine.

As a result, the business program of the conference is full of subjects touching upon all urgent issues of the fruit and vegetable sector: Ukrainian, European and global markets for fruits and vegetables; production and price forecasts; fruit and vegetable imports and exports; investments in the fruit and vegetable business; production of niche crops in Ukraine; organic produce; novelties in growing, handling, packing, processing and storage technologies; marketing of fruit and vegetable products etc.

For the present, there are more than 170 delegates from 109 companies having already confirmed their participation in the event and representing 13 countries throughout the globe (Belgium, Chile, Egypt, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine).

We would remind you that the conference will be held on November 28-29, 2012, in conjunction with Fresh Produce Ukraine Expo, the only international and specialized exhibition on fruit and vegetable technologies and trade in Ukraine, on the territory of IEC in Kiev, and followed by the 2nd International Trade Forum that will take place on November 30.
