Fruit and vegetable marketing in Russia: from wholesale purchase to brand creation

As we informed you earlier, the program of the 6th International Conference “Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia – 2013” will for the first time include a broad session on fruit and vegetable marketing in the Russian Federation.

The country's retail sector analysis, retailers rankings according to different categories and formats as well as middle- and long-term development prospects in the retail trade and Russian consumer market will be presented by Mr. Ivan Fedyakov, General Director of INFOLine informational and consulting agency.

The conference will be continued with the speech of Mr. Jeremy Darby, international retail expert, who will present a comparative description of the Russian and European supermarkets' requirements to quality, safety and certification of fresh perishable produce (berries in particular).

The subject of optimal supply chain “from field to shelf”, added value structure as well as pros and cons of constituent links will be disclosed by Mr. Sergey Khavanov, General Director of Agrotrade.

The sessional part of the event will come to an end with the speech of Mr. Pavel Grudinin, Director of Sovkhoz im. Lenina, who will speak on fruit and vegetable branding and key moments in brand creation and retention in the Russian market.
