Jonagored apple production up 75% in EU
According to WAPA (World Apple & Pear Association) estimates, the EU growers will pick the biggest over the past decade crop of Jonagored apples in the season 2012/13.
Production of this variety will reach 336,000 tonnes that is 75% higher year-on-year.
It should be also noted that the previous record high Jonagored production was registered in 2007 when the EU growers picked 234,000 tonnes of this produce.
