Poland's apple stocks down by a third in March
Poland's apple stocks went down by 27% in March, according to WAPA data.
On April 1, apple stocks totaled 495,000 tons, an increase of 25% compared with the same period of the previous year, when they stood at 680,000 tons.
Idared apples account for the largest share in stocks (30%). Golden Delicious variety ranks second with the share of 16%. Champion apples account for 14% of total stocks.
We would remind you that the demand for apples is stable in Poland. Prices vary between 0.24-0.38/kg, depending on variety, fruit size and shipment volume. Idared and Jonagored apples are offered at lowest prices. Gala and Golden Delicious varieties are sold at maximum prices.
