Kazakhstan to implement single agricultural tax

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture will implement a single agricultural tax, the country's First Vice-Minister of Agriculture Arman Yevniev said.

"With regard to improving the taxation of agricultural producers, the ministry will conduct work on implementation of a single agricultural tax (UST) on a business proposal. Such taxation regime will simplify complex tax accounting for commodity producers and lead to reduction in additional penalties from the tax authorities," the minister said during the meeting in the Parliament on priority directions of development of the agro-industrial complex (AIC) for 2017-2021.

According to Yevniev, any commodity producer could cope with this without the help of an accountant. "We also face obstacles with taxation of agricultural cooperatives, including taxation of internal transactions and we work on elimination of this problem" he added.
