Wheat shipments from Ukrainian ports increased last week

According to APK-Inform monitoring data, last week Ukrainian ports shipped 329,000 tonnes of grain cargos, which is 13.4 percent more than the week before. While in earlier periods shipments of feed barley used to prevail in the total grain shipments structure, last week it was wheat which became the "champion" in shipments. Wheat shipments increased tenfold from the previous week. The shipments of barley, on the other hand, dropped nearly twice. Also, wheat is prevailing in accumulations of feed grain cargos in ports.

Export companies are buying both feed and milling wheat. Of the latter category the companies are buying not only typically exported mid-quality (4th class) wheat, but the top-quality (3rd class) wheat as well.
