The long cucumber price decrease is observed on Odesa oblast markets
The farmers - producers of greenhouse vegetables in Odesa oblast reported this week about the end of short cucumber sales season. The last wholesale supplies were sold for USD $ 1.32/kg, according to the information provided by Dmitriy Chernyak, Market Information Specialist of Odessa AMP (Agricultural Marketing Project) office. At the same time there are nearly no short cucumbers on the retail market. This week the long cucumber was supplied on the retail price of USD $ 1.22/kg, which is about USD $ 0.18/kg cheaper than a week before.
The further tomato price growth has been observed; the retail prices on the high-quality tomatoes increased to USD $ 1.13-1.32/kg this week, the wholesale prices start from USD $ 0.94/kg.
