Early egg-plants and carrot came on market
This week on Odesa market egg-plants of national origin were supplied on the wholesale price of about USD $ 2.85/kg. It was reported by Dmitriy Chernyak, the Market Information Specialist of Odesa office, Agricultural Marketing Project.
As the vendors said, early egg-plants are supplied form Crimea and are sold in retail on USD $ 3.23/kg.
We should also mention that the wholesale price on the wholesale market "Farmer", Kyiv, has been today about USD $ 2.85/kg. It seems that the Ukrainian producers of early greenhouse commodities realized that sometimes it is easier to earn much more money on such vegetables as cabbage, egg-plant, onion, potato, etc., than on cucumber and tomato; so they started to develop these directions more actively.
By the way, today the early carrot on USD $ 1.52/kg appeared on the wholesale market "Farmer" in Kyiv.
