Dnepropetrovsk region will cooperate with Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (Canada) in farm sector

Authorities of Dnepopetrovsk Oblast have signed a memorandum of cooperation in farm sector between Regional State Administration and Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (Canada), press-service of Dnepopetrovsk Regional State Administration informed. The signing ceremony was attended by First Secretary of Canadian Embassy to Ukraine Jason Holman and Deputy Head of Dnepopetrovsk Regional State Administration Hryhory Chornokur.

The signing of memorandum is said to be the starter of implementation in Dnepropetrovsk region of "Farm" programme, funded by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and realised by Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP). The programme is said to be developed with the aim of supporting permanent improvements in the farm sector in conditions of market economy. Its task is to increase institutional opportunities of managerial authorities in farm sector.

Canadian professionals will be performing advisory functions.

The main tools of activities of STEP are organisation of seminars, training trips, comprehensive research in the agrarian field, informational provision of economic subjects.

Canadian advisors have established a representative office in Dnepropetrovsk.
