Bread of Ukraine set their eyes on 3rd grade milling wheat. They see $71.40/MT

APK-Inform journalists reported that Mr. Kovylin, deputy head of Bread of Ukraine had announced submission of their suggestions regarding the mortgage prices for 2002 crop.

Initially $67.64/MT was set as a goal for milling wheat #3 no VAT included, but further on this price was reviewed and now it shows $71.40/MT.

According to Kovylin, there is no reason to set mortgage prices higher as his company needs to use loans for mortgage purchases. Moreover, there are no prerequisites neither on the domestic market not at the world market for grain price increase. Ukrainian govt, in his opinion, is unlikely to cover losses using budget money.

The issue of mortgage price shall to be resolved by Apr 1.
