State Reserve will purchase 300,000 MT less grain harvested in 2002

State Reserve will purchase only 200,000 MT of grain harvested in 2002 instead of earlier plans to buy 500,000 MT. Major reason is the same - a shortage of funds. Government has refused to provide additional money to the State Reserve. Government has managed to purchase 462,000 MT of grain produced in 2001 out of 39.7mn MT produced. Government expects that grain production in 2002 will reach 35mn MT.
