The Netherlands invested EUR680,000 into Kyiv bakery plant No. 6

Kyiv bread bakery plant No. 6 has completed a EUR680,000 technical assistance project, funded by the Netherlands and aimed at introduction of energy-saving technologies.

According to the Dutch company Tebodin Consultants & Engineers B.V., involved in the project, a new Danish-made bread-bakery furnace for 28,000-tonne daily capacity has been installed in the plant, which will allow for a 25-percent reduction of gas consumption.

Besides that, following replacement of an old furnace for the new one, the plant's overall daily capacity has been increased by nearly 3 percent - up to 108,000 tonnes.

Two more Dutch companies took part in realisation of the project: Rademaker Den Boer B.V. and Technology Unlimited B.V.

The project was initiated by an Executive Agency at the Dutch Ministry of Economics within the framework of cooperation programme with countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
