Government of the RF is worried over increase of imports of low-grade fruit and vegetable production

The First Vice-President of the Russian Federation, Viktor Zubkov, is worried over increase of imports of low-grade vegetables and fruits to Russia, reported " Retail.ru ".

According to Zubkov, the share of import products on the Russian food market exceeds 40%, and for January-May, 2008, food imports increased by 27.3% compared to the same period last year.

V. Zubkov added that range of food imports covers almost all types of products and most of them will у produced by Russian companies. Also, he noted that it is necessary to support domestic agricultural producer and guarantee conditions he can take his products to the distribution network.
