Date of duty-free import of vegetables and fruits to Moldova expired
The Government of Moldova made a decision on imposition of duty-free regime in the end of February 2008. The governmental decision allowed delivering canned and processed tomatoes with dry solids weight ratio totaling from 12 to 30% to Moldova without customs duties payment till August 15, 2008. These products should be delivered to Moldova in lots not less than 100 kg- only in this case it was possible to take advantages of benefits of the duty-free import, Salud.md reported.
Decision about introduction of duty-free import regime of some vegetables and fruits for industrial processing was accepted by the Government of Moldova due to low harvest of vegetables and fruits last year caused by the drought.
