Ukraine exported 9 mln t grain since January 1

Ukraine has exported 9 million tonnes of grain since the start of calendar year, Agrarian Policy Minister Serhiy Ryzhuk told a press-conference December 24. He said till the end of year the export volume would constitute 10 million tonnes.

Since the beginning of the marketing year (July 1) Ukraine has exported about 7 million tonnes of grain. About 3 million tonnes have been exported to EU countries. Ukrainian grain has been also exported to countries of Middle and Far East and North Africa (these markets are traditional for Ukrainian grain). In 2002 Ukraine has for the first time exported grain to Brazil, Japan and Canada.
