Ukraine: most expensive carrots offered at Dubovo Wholesale Market, Khmelnytskyi

The highest carrot prices in Ukraine are now quoted by sellers at Dubovo Wholesale Market, Khmelnytskyi, according to Fruit-Inform daily price monitoring.

Prices have already reached UAH 15/kg (EUR 0.57/kg) there, averagely three times as high as registered a year before. It should also be noted that prices have grown by 70% there since the beginning of this week.

Carrot prices have also grown by 40-50% week-on-week to UAH 9.50-12.00/kg (EUR 0.36-0.45/kg), also up to three times as high as in the same period of the previous season, at Shuvar Wholesale Market, Lviv.

Prices at Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev, vary between UAH 7-10/kg (EUR 0.26-0.38/kg), depending on quality, an increase of 70% week-on-week and 50% higher year-on-year.

The least expensive carrots are offered at Kopani Wholesale Market, Kherson Oblast, and their prices do not exceed UAH 9/kg (EUR 0.34/kg), which is 60% higher week-on-week and at least 50% higher compared with the same period of 2014.
