All about Russian fruit and vegetable policy from representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and Rosselkhoznadzor

Registration of participants of the 6th International Conference “Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia – 2013” goes on. The conference will be held in conjunction with World Food Moscow 2013 Exhibition, Expocentre Fairgrounds, Moscow, September 17.

 

The sessional part of the event will traditionally be open by the representative of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation), who will speak on phytosanitary requirements to fruit and vegetable products supplied to Russia and Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. The presentation will also include:

 

The program will be followed by the speech of Mr Petr Chekmarev, Director of Department of Plant-Growing, Chemicalization and Plant Protection, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In his presentation, Mr Chekmarev will cover the subjects of fruit and vegetable production state support in Russia in view of the country's accession to the WTO, principal areas of rendered support, prospective niches for domestic produce, policy on seed and agrichemistry sectors.

 

The sessional program of the conference will also include other relevant subjects of the global and Russian fruit and vegetable markets, such as fruit and vegetable production, pricing, trade, developments in the Russian markets for apples, potatoes, greenhouse vegetables, fresh and frozen berries, niche crops, handling, storage and processing technologies as well as principal aspects in produce marketing and logistics in the light of current Russian realities.
