L. Kozachenko: the government insists on approval of new Land Code in the nearest future

The government insists on approval of new Land Code in the nearest future, Vice Premier Leonid Kozachenko announced during public hearings of "Agrarian reforms: ways of development".

In his words, despite that the Land Code doesn't answer all questions regulating land tenure, it needs to be approved as soon as possible. This is caused by the necessity of fast legislative regulation of questions defining lands of private, state and communal forms of property as well as implementation of land market mechanisms provided in the draft of Land Code.

According to L. Kozachenko, this document "would still be improved during several years after its approval", because, considering the complexity of problems, it is impossible to foresee and legislatively regulate all necessary aspects of land tenure and landowners' demands at once.
