Ukraine reduces grape imports in January

Ukraine reduced grape imports in January this year on a month-on-month basis, according to State Statistics Service of Ukraine. In December 2012, Ukrainian importers purchased more than 1,600 tonnes of these fruits; however, the import volumes in January 2013 amounted to 500 tonnes.

A month-on-month decrease in grape imports is traditionally observed in Ukraine in January. For example, imports in January 2012 took a half of the import volumes in December 2011.

Peru, Turkey and South Africa were the main grape exporters to Ukraine in January this year.

We would remind you that Fresh Produce Ukraine 2013, the only international and specialized exhibition in Ukraine of B2B format, is an excellent opportunity for foreign suppliers to meet with Ukrainian large and medium-sized importers of fruits and vegetables and representatives of the country's retail sector.
