Attractiveness of Ukrainian fertilizer market to foreign suppliers increased
Imports of mineral fertilizers to Ukraine has increased twofold in January - April compared with the same period of the past season, according to Interfax-Ukraina with a reference to the State Customs Service. Imports during the said period comprised US 19.65mn. In the meanwhile exports decreased 3.3 percent in the same period and reached US $131.44mn. Thus, foreign trade balance has worsened by 11.6 percent. Since Ukrainian fertilizer producers stepped up production in the first months of the current year, it should be concluded that the market size has also increased.
