Ukraine's leading berry event to start in a month – May 21
The 6th International Conference «Berries of Ukraine-2015: Frozen Produce & Fresh Market», the leading berry market event of the country, will start its work in a month – May 21, Rus Hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
For the present, the conference program is 80% confirmed and includes the following moments:
- the Ukrainian berry market in a new season: berry production and price forecast, table grape market outlook, cooperation in berry growing;
- berry production technologies: three berry growing master-classes from the sector experts, efficient use of plant protection products and machinery;
- processing and handling: shock freezing technologies, high-quality cooling and handling of berries after harvesting;
- Ukrainian berry trade potential: sales through wholesale markets, European buyers' requirements to berry products.
Registration of participants goes on: as of today, their participation has been confirmed by berry growers, processing enterprises, representatives of wholesale and retail trade, suppliers of inputs and equipment, plants and agrichemistry from Ukraine, Sweden, Belgium and Moldova. Altogether, the event will involve more than 150 delegates from 8-10 countries of the world, with above a half of them to be represented by producers of fresh and frozen berries.
By tradition, the second day of the event (May 22) will focus on a practical business-tour to one of the leading berry farms of the region – Agrofirma Vesna-2011. The business-tour participants will get acquainted with strawberry, currant, raspberry and blueberry growing technologies, approaches to berry plantations management, produce post-harvest cooling and handling applied in the company.
