Greenhouse vegetables and fruits in Crimea: production technologies and marketing

The Crimean office of Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) invites farmers and private producers, wholesalers, processors, input suppliers and other players of fruit and vegetable market to participate in the AMP Field day "Marketing and modern technologies of vegetable crops production in the covered ground in Crimean conditions", the first such event this year. The field day will be conducted on the 20th of May 2005 at 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Simferopol rayon, AR Crimea.

The Field day will be conducted jointly with the clients of Agricultural Marketing Project: "Leonida" farm, LLC "Ros MTE", "Likon" farm, and also some well-known European and national companies Clause Tezier (France), Enza-Zaden (Netherlands), Nickerson-Zwaan (Netherlands), Rijk Zwaan (Netherlands), Nunhems (Netherlands), Terra Ltd, Syngenta (Switzerland), Summit Agro Ukraine (Japan), LLC "Center Biotekhnika" (Odesa), scientific-production center "Reakom" (Dnepropetrovsk).

During the field day we will demonstrate on practice the tomato and other vegetables production in the covered ground (film greenhouses), the advanced technologies: drip irrigation, complex microfertilizers, the system of plant protection assets, new varieties and hybrids. Besides, we will introduce to the Field day participants the effective sales channels for early vegetable commodities, improvement of the marketing practices, which will increase the competitiveness of these commodities and the profitability too.

All participants of the Field day will receive the handout materials prepared by Agricultural Marketing Project: the advanced technologies of vegetable crop production, marketing questions, the contact information of input suppliers, the manual of Crimean farmer, and also the leaflets advertising seeds and plant protection assets from the input supply companies, other information.
