Sow licensing - reap stability. Sugar market
UkrTsukor, the national Sugar Producers Association developed a draft law on introducing changes to the article #9 of the law on licensing certain types of business, which calls for licensing of wholesale sugar trade on the domestic market.
There was a loophole in the law where one law contradicts the other. Thus, Ukrainian law on production and sales of sugar in Ukraine demands a special license whereas Ukrainian law on Licensing does not include sugar wholesale trading on the domestic market in the list.
This draft law should fill the gap and prevent unreported sales of sugar on the highway markets, outdoor markets and re-export, said Kozachenko, Ukrainian Vice-Premier.
