Syngenta will share information about influence of modern production technologies on vegetable business profitability

Experience of Agricultural Marketing Project shows that implementation of modern vegetable production technologies let the vegetable self-cost decrease in 2-3 times, that in its turn increases the profitability of such production activities. Due to self-cost decrease the producer has the opportunity to compete more successfully not only on local market, but also on markets of more remote regions. Besides, as a rule the producer also sells commodities for higher price thanks to its better looks as a result of modern production technologies. For example, the farmers from Kherson oblast supply tomato, pepper and other vegetables practically in nearly all oblasts of Ukraine just thanks to a very low self-cost and good marketable condition of the supplied commodities as a result of implementation of the newest production technologies.

Everybody interested have the possibility to study the experience of application of modern intensive vegetable production technologies and to evaluate their influence on business profitability during the First International Conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine: Market of New Alternatives" to be held in Kiev on November 2nd-3rd, 2004.
